This License Agreement (“Agreement”) is between you (“Licensee”) and MOTION SQUARED (“we”, “us”). It governs your use of all digital products purchased or downloaded from this site, including material packs, shaders, texture maps, preview scenes and free samples (together, the “Products”). By purchasing, downloading or using any Product, you agree to this Agreement.
1. License Grant
Upon purchase (or download of a free sample), we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license for one (1) named user to use the Products in unlimited personal and commercial projects.
The license follows the person, not the computer. You may install and use the Products on any number of computers that you personally use — for example, your home PC, office PC and laptop — under a single license. Each additional person who uses the Products requires their own license.
2. What You CAN Do
- Use the Products in commercial and personal work: stills, animations, motion graphics, film, TV, advertising, product visualisation, architectural visualisation, games and interactive content, and client work.
- Render and distribute any output (images, video, real-time builds) created using the Products, with no royalties or attribution required.
- Modify, adjust and combine the Products to create your own materials for use in your own projects.
- Install the Products on any number of machines that you personally use (e.g. home PC, office PC, laptop), and use them on render farms and cloud render services solely for rendering your own projects.
3. What You CANNOT Do
- Share, sell, sub-license, rent, lend, give away or otherwise redistribute the Products, in whole or in part, whether original or modified — including individual materials, texture maps, or preview scenes.
- Include the Products (or materials derived from them) in any product where they could be extracted or reused as assets — e.g. asset packs, material libraries, plugins, templates, stock content, or project files offered for sale or for free.
- Upload the Products to stock marketplaces, file-sharing services, public repositories, or shared cloud libraries accessible by people who do not hold a license.
- Use the Products, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune or validate any machine learning or generative AI model, or to create datasets for such purposes.
- Claim authorship or ownership of the Products, or register them (original or modified) with any content-identification or IP-registration system.
4. Teams and Studios
This is a single-user license. Each artist who opens, edits or applies the Products in a scene requires their own license. For example: you may use your license on both your home and office computers — but if a second artist at your company also needs the packs, they must purchase their own license. A freelancer may use the Products in work delivered to a client. The client receives the rendered output, not the Products themselves; delivering working project files containing the Products to a client requires the client to hold their own license.
5. Ownership
The Products are licensed, not sold. All title, ownership and intellectual property rights in the Products remain with MOTION SQUARED. This Agreement does not transfer any ownership rights to you.
6. Downloads and Updates
Your account provides access to re-download purchased Products. We may update Products from time to time (updates are free for the same Product) and may retire Products from sale; we will use reasonable efforts to maintain download access for previously purchased Products.
7. Termination
This license terminates automatically if you materially breach this Agreement. Upon termination you must delete all copies of the Products. Sections 3, 5, 8 and 9 survive termination. Rendered output created before termination and in compliance with this Agreement remains unaffected.
8. Warranty Disclaimer
The Products are provided “as is”. We do not warrant that the Products will meet your requirements or be compatible with every software version or hardware configuration. Supported software versions are listed on each product page. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or related to the Products or this Agreement shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Product giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data. Nothing in this Agreement excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. General
This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. This Agreement is the entire agreement between the parties regarding the Products and supersedes prior communications on the subject.
