This policy explains what personal data MOTION SQUARED (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this site, why we collect it, and your rights. We are the data controller for the data described here. Contact: support@motionsquared.net.
1. What We Collect
- Order data: name, email address, billing country/address, VAT number (if provided), products purchased, and order history. Collected to fulfil your purchase, provide download access, and meet tax and accounting obligations. Legal basis: contract performance and legal obligation.
- Payment data: handled entirely by our payment providers (Stripe and PayPal). We never receive or store your full card details; we receive only a confirmation of payment and a transaction reference.
- Account data: login email and password (stored hashed), download activity. Legal basis: contract performance.
- Marketing data: email address, if you opt in via the free sample packs or newsletter signup. Legal basis: consent — you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
- Support correspondence: emails you send us, kept to provide support and improve products. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Usage data: anonymised or pseudonymised analytics about site usage (pages visited, referrers, approximate location from IP). Legal basis: consent (via the cookie banner) or legitimate interest for essential measurement, depending on your choices.
2. Cookies
We use essential cookies for the shopping cart, login sessions and checkout — these are required for the store to function. Optional analytics and marketing cookies are set only with your consent via the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time via [cookie settings link].
3. Who We Share Data With
We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under data processing agreements:

- Account data: kept while your account is active. You may request deletion; note that deleting your account removes access to re-downloads.
- Marketing data: kept until you unsubscribe or after a prolonged period of inactivity.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your location (including under GDPR and UK GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email support@motionsquared.net. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
6. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, payment details never touch our servers, and access to order data is limited to those who need it to run the store.
7. Children
This site sells professional software assets and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the store’s tools and services change. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with an updated date above.
